In the Lost Live Series, Sam Records is proud to present this unreleased live session recorded by Jef Gilson, one of the most distinctive pianists and composers in French jazz history. This concert, which many believed to be lost for over 50 years, has been recorded at the Salle Gaveau in Paris on April 3, 1965.
Jef composed most of all titles for his big band featuring Roger Guérin, Bernard Vitet, François Guin, Raymond Fonsèque, Michel Portal, Jacques Di Donato, Pierre Caron, Jean-Louis Chautemps, Bernard Lubat, Jean-François Jenny Clark and Jacques Thollot.
This lost live session is presented for the first time on vinyl.
